Mad Math Hat

Do you remember being in algebra class and asking "Why do we need to know this? When will we ever use this?" You might even feel that way when you think about teaching Math to young children. Here is why we need Math. Mathematics develop rational thought. In Math there is one right answer and logic based ways to arrive at that answer. Teaching a child's brain to work in this wonderful way is the gift of an excellent Math program and teacher. It is of utmost importance that children are enthusiastically engaged into Mathematical thought during their crucial period of rapid brain development. Each unit of this curriculum assists children with their academic pursuit of Math, but more importantly, each unit will assist them with their life long ability to form clear and reasoned thought. That is why we need Math! And yes, we will defiantly use it!

The Mad Math Hat comes to visit our class every Tuesday in the 3 year old preschool program, and every Monday and Tuesday in the 3 year old childcare program.
