Register for the 2010 / 2011 Kindergarten Class.

The Wind and Tide Kindergarten is serious fun, serious academic learning and serious social growth all bundled together!  This exciting five day a week program for five year olds recognizes the need to give our children a great start to their school years.

The kindergarten program builds on the academic basics taught in preschool with an enhanced program of reading, math, art, science, and social studies to provide a comprehensive curriculum. By the end of the year, children leave the kindergarten program reading, writing, brimming with great information and eager to learn more.

The kindergarten program is offered at our Sunnyside location from September to June.

As you may be aware, the B.C. government has announced that 50% of kindergartens will be offering full day kindergarten programs as of September 2010. They have also said that they will not be announcing which schools will be receiving funding for the full day programs until the Spring of 2010. Due to our registration process beginning in November, we can not wait until the Spring for this announcement.

Wind and Tide has decided that as of September 2010, we will be offering a full day program. This program will run from 9:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Our teachers are very excited to expand the program to full day. Wind and Tide Kindergarten is action packed, and the full day format allows time for deeper reinforcement of ideas and concepts, and the building of strong relationships within the classroom. On November 1st we will begin registration for one South Surrey Kindergarten class for 20 students with our two wonderful teachers. We look forward to this new format and the families who will take part.

PLEASE NOTE: CHILDREN MUST TURN FIVE BY DECEMBER 31, 2010 IN ORDER TO REGISTER FOR THE KINDERGARTEN CLASS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 2010. A COPY OF YOUR CHILD'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE WILL BE REQUIRED.

Online Registration for the 2010/2011 school year starts at 10:00pm on:

• Nov.1, 2009 for all 3 and 4 Year-Old Preschool, and Kindergarten classes.
• March 1, 2010 for all after-school programs.
