Tuition Fees : 2009/2010

We offer programs for children ages three through eleven. From preschool and kindergarten to reading, public speaking, math and art, our programs are designed to help your children grow and to grow with them.

3 Year Old Classes ($105/mnth) - Tues and Thurs

Morning classes - 9:00 - 11:30 am
   Afternoon classes - 12:30 - 3:00 pm

4 Year Old Classes ($155/mnth) - Mon, Wed and Fri

Morning classes - 9:00 - 11:30 am
   Afternoon classes - 12:30 - 3:00 pm

Kindergarten ($240 / mnth) - Monday to Friday

Morning classes - 9:00 - 11:30 am
   Afternoon classes - 12:30 - 3:00 pm

Ready to Read ($110 / mnth) Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs

Two days a week afterschool - 3:30 - 5:00 pm 

Toastminors ($55/mnth)

One day a week afterschool - 3:30 - 5:00 pm

Tuition Payment Schedule :

For Families Continuing in Four Year Old Preschool

Sometime in April or May we will be asking families of children in three year old classes to confirm that they are returning for the four year old program. At that time, you will be asked to
1) complete a new PAD agreement for the following year (alternatively, you may provide a post-dated cheque for Annual or Bi-annual tuition payment)
2) provide a cheque for September’s tuition of $155.00 post dated for July 1st (refundable until June 30th, 2009)
3) pay a $35 non-refundable registration fee.

For Families Entering Three Year Old Preschool

Your first payment is not required until the Open House (on a Saturday in April or May - you will be contacted with your Open House date in the spring). At the Open House you will be asked to provide :

1) a $35 non-refundable registration fee

2) a Cheque for your first months tuition fee payable for the date of your Open House. If you should decide not to attend Wind and Tide, this first months tuition is refundable until June 30th, 2009.

3) a Pre-Authorized Monthly Debit Aggreement (PAD) with a VOID cheque attached. Beginning October 1st and thereafter, on the first of each month, your monthly tuition payment will be withdrawn automatically from your account.

4) Alternative Fee Payment: Annual or Bi-annual

Annual - Tuition may be paid for the entire school year in one cheque payment post-dated for the day of your Open House, for the entire school year.

Bi-Annual - Tuition may be paid in two equal installments by post-dated cheques. The first semester cheque will be post-dated for the day of your Open House for the first half of the years tuition and the second will be post-dated Feb 1st for the remainder of the tuition.

Why is the first tuition payment due the day of your Open House?
We need to encourage families to notify the school if they no longer plan to attend preschool in September. If they let us know before June 30th, they will not have to pay the September tuition (during the school year we require one months notification of withdrawal). Without this process, we find that a number of families neglect to notify the school.

For Families Entering Wind and Tide Kindergarten

Your first payment (the $200 non-refundable, non-transferable registration fee) is required on or before December 1st, 2008. This fee is only required of families with confirmed enrollment in one of the 40 available kindergarten spaces. Payment must be mailed directly to the office (Wind and Tide Preschools Ltd. P.O.Box 12026 Murrayville RPO, Langley, BC, V3A 9J5).

New for September 2008

Children will no longer be permitted to register at Wind and Tide Kindergarten and another Kindergarten. We are becoming an independent school, which means that our enrollment will be closely monitored by the government.

For example: in previous years, some children have attended Wind and Tide Kindergarten in the morning and then attended another Kindergarten in their neighbourhood in the afternoon.

As of September 2008, when Wind and Tide is informed that your child is also registered at another school, we will remove your child from our class.

Kindergarten Open House (April) - At the Open House we will require the following:

1) a $240 cheque post-dated May 1st. This will be your September fees but it is non-refundable and non-transferable after May 1st.

2) a Pre-Authorized Monthly Debit Aggreement (PAD) with a VOID cheque attached. On the first of each month, beginning October 1st, your monthly tuition payment will be withdrawn automatically from your account.

3) Alternative Kindergarten Fee Payment: Annual or Bi-annual

Annual - Tuition may be paid for the remaining nine months of the school year in one cheque payment post-dated for October 1st.

Bi-Annual - Tuition may be paid in two equal installments by post-dated cheques. The first semester cheque will be post-dated October 1st for the first half of the years tuition and the second will be post-dated Feb 1st for the remainder of the tuition.

For After School Programs

Your registration form, registration fee, a cheque for the first months tuition and a completed PAD agreement are required at our office by March 15th:

1) a completed registration form for Ready to Read, Toastminors or Centre Stage

2) a $25 non-refundable registration fee

3) a Cheque for your first months tuition fee payable for March 15th. If you should decide not to attend Wind and Tide, this first months tuition is refundable until June 30th, 2009.

4) a Pre-Authorized Monthly Debit Aggreement (PAD) with a VOID cheque attached. Beginning October 1st and thereafter, on the first of each month, your monthly tuition payment will be withdrawn automatically from your account.

5) Alternative Fee Payment: Annual or Bi-annual

Annual - Tuition may be paid for the entire school year in one cheque payment post-dated for April 1st for the entire coming school year.

Bi-Annual - Tuition may be paid in two equal installments by post-dated cheques. The first semester cheque will be post-dated for July 1st for the first half of the years tuition and the second will be post-dated Feb 1st for the remainder of the tuition.

Questions and Answers

Why do you have non-refundable payments?
We are always trying to maintain a balance between appreciation for those who have enrolled with sensitivity to other loyal Wind and Tide families on our waiting list. By May we need to be able to give those families on our wait list a clear indication of their chances for a kindergarten space. Non-refundable, non-transferable payments help us to encourage families to let us know in a timely manner that they wish to decline their saved spaces.

What if I cannot attend the Open House?
In order to continue in your confirmed enrollment, you must provide your tuition fees, completed PAD agreement and completed registration form by the date of the Open House. If you cannot attend the Open House, please mail your forms directly to the office (Wind and Tide Preschools Ltd. P.O.Box 12026 Murrayville RPO, Langley, BC, V3A 9J5).

What if I register after June 30th?
If you register after June 30th, we require your registration fee and September tuition one week from the date of your registration. Both the registration fee and September tuition are non-refundable.
