Child Development Centre

At the Child Development Centre, we have the privilege of having children in our care for many hours each day. For this reason, it is very important that we create an environment that feels as much like home as possible for every child that attends. This environment will be created by loving and nurturing adults who know them well. Our staff are trained to look for the unique personalities and needs of the children in their care. Each child is special and of equal value and they will feel loved for who they are.

Many of the children will attend the Child Development Centre for 30 - 45 hours a week. It is essential that we create a family like atmosphere where children and their families feel relaxed and at home. You will find our staff to be highly personable and ready to serve you. Parent-Staff communication is of upmost importance and we will work hard to keep you well informed about your child's daily experiences in our care.

In addition to creating a warm, loving and nurturing environment, we also want to create a place where learning is fun! At Wind and Tide, we recognize that play is a very important part of a child's day and that children learn best through play. Wind and Tide teachers are uniquely trained in facilitating play that leads to rich learning and knowledge. We have 3 main teaching goals for all our centres. Location of Child Development Centre: We are located at 2700 E Broadway, Vancouver. You can find us inside Broadway Church.

Hours: We will be open 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday.
We will be closed on all statutory holidays as well as one day in the Fall and one day in the Spring for Staff Professional Development days. We will provide families with written notice of the dates in order for arrangements to be made for alternate child care on those days.

Monthly Fees: We will be providing care for children age 30 months to 5 years old. Our fees are as follows:
Registration Fee: $35.00 - this is payable at the time of registration and is non-refundable.
Full Time Care (5 days a week): $700.00 per month
Part Time Care (1-4 days a week):
4 days: $560.00 per month
3 days: $420.00 per month
2 days: $280.00 per month
1 day: $140.00 per month

How to Register: Click on the word DAYCARE below and it will take you to a registration form to fill out. (Please note that we are currently only accepting registrations from current Broadway families. General registration will begin on March 15, 2010.)
At the time of registration you will be asked to fill out a Pre-Authorized Debit form which will allow us to deduct your monthly fees from the account of your choice on the first of each month. This will begin on September 1, 2010.

Withdrawal: We require one-month's notice period for withdrawal. Please inform us 30 days prior to the first of the month in which you wish to withdrawal and we will remove you from the pre-authorization payment plan. You will be required to submit a withdrawal form. If it is less than 30 days before the next monthly fee is due, you will be charged for that payment.
